Compression Stockings

Swollen calves, ankles, and varicose veins are a sign of poor circulation.  As chiropodists we both prescribe and dispense compression hosiery.  A full assessment is always done in office and accurate measurements are taken to get the exact size and type of hosiery needed.  People who would most benefit from compression stockings include:

  • people who sit or stand still for long periods, such as at work

  • people with previous deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

  • people who notice swelling of their ankles and calves

  • people who previously had surgery for varicose viens

Walk Right Tip!

Varicose veins and ankles swelling may progressively worsen if not helped
