106th ZABIJAKA MAIL AUCTION

Welcome to the 106th Zabijaka auction. When I started these auctions in 1972, more than 35 years ago I never believed that I would ever reach this far. But thanks to you, the auctions are working. Thank you also for submitting more and more material to the sales. Do not hesitate to send more. I can always use it and you will have a chance to get rid of your surplus and use the money to improve your collections.

This auction of about 350 lots offers much to collectors. There are many highlights. In the local stamps section we have a rare Barshi local, seldom seen Chernihiv II stamp and almost always missing in the best collections Zhytomyr II trident. There is also a nice selection of regular trident overprints, including many high values not frequently found. The Other Issues section features a number of interesting Cinderella stamps, including some Shramchenko inspired and printed items. Also Rimini POW camp items again not usually found in collections. There is a selection of postal history, including Deutsche Dienstpost Ukraine items, Western Ukraine is also represented. Carpatho-Ukraine is prominent in this sale with some 40 items including some issued in quantities of 50 stamps. Fun and new discoveries should be had by all.

The 106th Direct Sale is very modest with about 50 items.

I am also trying to clear a large collection of postal history, including covers, money orders, and postcards. Also a large accumulation of the modern provisional issues described in Lobko’s catalogs. Write for additional information.
